A Well Trained Puppy is a Happy Puppy
Here is some information on our board and train program.
We are dedicated to making sure you get off on the right foot with your puppy. Training is a very necessary part of successful dog ownership. We offer a two week board and train program to help you and your puppy get off to a good start and routine.
Here is how it works. We only take one to two puppies per litter for board and train. This just helps your puppy get the one on one time it deserves with the trainer. At 8 weeks of age, one of our two trainers, either Karen or Laura will pick your puppy up from our home. Your puppy will begin working on perfecting crate training, potty training, learning its name, sit, down, stay, place, leash walking, socialization with big dogs, a very practical daily schedule and how to fit into a busy home environment.
At the end of the two weeks you will pick your puppy up from the trainer. You can either go to their home or someone will meet you at the airport with your puppy. If you desire a flight nanny Karen does that for us too!
You will still have your work cut out for you once you bring your puppy home because….well, it’s still a baby. But, your puppy will be off to a very good start and should be able to quickly merge into your home and daily activities. As an added bonus, we are here to help you every step of the way once you get your puppy home.

Laura is my sister and we are so happy to have her as one of our trainers in our board and train program. Laura has had to put up with lots of dog shenanigans because she grew up in the same household as me! She and her two kids do a great job of training, socializing and loving the puppies she brings into her home. Her kids are learning not to get too attached to the puppies during the time they have them so they soak up every minute they can.
Say hello to Karen
Karen is my sister-in-law and I couldn’t be happier to have her spear heading our board and train program. She is a true dog lover and especially loves the Australian Labradoodle. She is mom to two of our momma dogs, Josie and Jersey and both of these dogs play an amazing role in helping to teach puppies dog manners and also provide love and comfort to the puppies. Karen is a lover of life and always has a smile on her face. We are so lucky to have Karen as a part of our family at Daffodil Hill.
